Hardly anybody can resist touching the gleaming raku pottery of Kate Vorhaus. She uses the ancient art of Japanese raku firing to produce lustrous finishes with subtle crackle and snowflake textures. The Japanese character RAKU means ease, pleasure or enjoyment and is often interpreted as "spontaneous." That sums up our customers' reactions to these sumptuous vessels.

People who fish go crazy for this functional pottery by Susan Peterson--but so does everyone else. So far, there hasn't been one back that didn't feel good in Jerry Hauck's magnificent rocker--and everybody tries it. When people see this rocker, they can't resist sitting in it, and then they're hooked. The carefully carved seat and back panels feel great, the armrests are sanded to silkiness, the "rock" is perfection. Jerry also makes freeform tables, benches, mirrors, cabinets and other furniture. Her geometrical designs enhance the delicate flowers and the antique farm boxes which hold them to make uncommon arrangements that always draw attention. They transcend predictable definitions. They're not traditional. They're not contemporary. They look great with both! Suzanne uses only freeze-dried flowers which keep their color much longer than air-dried.
